A permitted union of two or more people is called marriage. Monogamy is the form of marriage that we have nowadays, although we still tend to practice polygamy, some societies also practice Polyandry. There are different sorts of marriage. A monogamous marriage is a union of two individuals. Polygamy is the uniting of one man with several women. Polyandry is the marriage of one woman with several men. And the key to a happy marriage is found in the willingness to change yourself, not your partner.
Marriage from Elizabethan is different compared to how it is today. In Elizabethan, boys and girls are able to marry at a very early age, as long as there is a parental permission form informing that they do agree. The boys are legal to marry at the age of fourteen and the girls at the age of twelve. A marriage contract is also included. It includes provision for the bride’s dowry and the settlement with cash and property by the husband’s family. Her husband should also die first for her welfare. The wives are the property of their husband, but the children are the properties of their parents. The properties, such as children and wives are acknowledged to be treated as slaves; each shall obey their masters, whom to be the father. The children shall know how to respect their master.
The marriage now has changed compared to Elizabethan. There are still different kinds of marriages, but the rules are more perverse. Marriage is more based on culture. We celebrate it with a little touch of our culture. Some have a cultural dance that they dance on marriages. Marriages also included the different kinds of ceremony. Some marriages have to have a certain type of food. Marriages are built upon happiness. Marriages also occur for a variety of reasons. The main reason is love, but some who gets married do it because of pregnancy. Eighteen years of age is the legal age limit to get married with the parents’ authorization appearance.
Marriage from Elizabethan and now are different. Elizabethan marriage is more of a freedom while marriage from today is based on existence. In Elizabethan, a girl shall only marry a boy who can take care of her, who can support her, who can support her by survival and by commitment. Today, a girl should only marry for the love that a guy can give, the acceptance, the commitment that he shows, the care ness, and the support that he is willing to give. I think that today’s marriage is better than how it was then, because of the different opportunity that we all have.
Today’s marriage is better than Elizabethan marriage. It is simply done and more convenient due to the fact that we are old enough to know what really is going on with life and the effects that revolve around us. A fourteen year old boy can only support a twelve year old girl with his parents’ wealth. Most kids do not know the reality at the age of twelve; perhaps they have not yet grown and explored as much as an eighteen year old boy and girl. Therefore today’s marriage is more superior to Elizabethan’s marriage.

Ok there was John, Ann, Pam, Deng, Rosang, Emjay, Alan, Gigi, nd kuya Jason. It was a freaking thriller! Seeing the upstairs, the attic, the bedrooms, the kitchen (with a freaking bird/bat), nd the damn basement! I’d want to go back next year or sometime this year! I want to see what’s new or what’s changed! But I don’t plan to go with DENG, since she scared me the most! Not being able to breathe nd the fact that she was holding onto me! | Hello friend,
It’s been quite a while since I updated! Which should actually be acceptable, due to the fact that I am always busy. Let’s see, my life has been great. Nothing can’t bring me down, nor put me down. I always have to fight it, and live happy! My point is, I’ve been living my life with a great smile on my face for my reasons, and I will keep it that way. Ok enough with the happiness; so let me recap on what I have been doing…
Last week’s commotions...
WEDNESDAY: I don’t remember what the heck I did, but I know I went to church.
THURSDAY: I went out!
FRIDAY: I went out for VIGIL! My first time going to vigil and it was fun! I got home around 1, but it was all worth it! I was little mermaid on the skit that we did! And we won right? Hmmm…I’ve always believed that there are no losers in the eyes of Mahal Na Inkong, because we are all winners if we put our effort into what we are willing to give. Hah! That’s tight isn’t it?
SATURDAY: I went to Lindsay! MOMMIE, I so love you! Hah, I always did and I always will! Thanks for giving me so much love and for showing me how much I mean to you with every single way. I’m so proud of you, and since we will be working in the same facilities, then I suggest we start helping each other there too. Hah!
This week…
SUNDAY: Well, I woke up kind of early, thanks to Jo and Ayra for coming into my room when I was still in bed! Haha! Gosh!!! I got ready then we went to Jo’s house. We waited for my cuzn Franny to go to Bakers. It was Franny, Ayra, Jo, and I who went to bakers. Ayra was so special that after passing Famoso Raceway, she remembered that left her shoes in Jo’s car. Hah! We made a mean-o u-turn just for Ayra! That also means, she had to pay for gas money again! Ahaha! Ur kewl Ayra! Ok well we got to Bakers safe and sound! First, we went with Ayra to returned the shoes and get a different size and color. We then headed to Oasis, I got myself some Kung pao chicken, orange chicken, and chow mein (no rice) from Express (Chinese food that is). We went also saw Franny’s and Ayra’s friends…Mike and two more guys… (I only remember Mike, cause I went out with two different Mikes haha; I’m such a dork)…so yea…I’m sorry guys! I remember calling one of you guys LuLu or something tho! Other than that, at least I remember your faces, so when you guys see me, say “HI ROVIE” and I’ll respond with a “hi!” We then went to Things Remembered, for my god daughter Danielle. Franny, Jo, and I got her something that we know she will remember and will always keep! We then headed to Forever 21 then to aeropostle then to charlotte russe. After the mall, we headed to Abbie’s house just for me! Thanks Franny and thanks Abster (I so love you lil cuzn)!!! Headed back to D-town. Drop off Ayra, then went to auntie Fe’s house. Sorry auntie I can’t wrap the shang hai, but I sure can cook and slice! Hah! I went home afterwards, which was around 9 or 10! Ooh, and last but not the least, thanks to Alan for coming to my house to pick up the DVD!
MONDAY: Fatima at Glad’s house then to kuya David’s. Conditioning for basketball at 3:30! That was great, and my body was freaking sore.
TUESDAY: Basketball after skoo, we freaking ran from skoo to the post office and back after working out our upper body. Gosh what a killer! Hah! I went to E-mart with my cuzns Shaun and Eric, and then went home afterwards.
WEDNESDAY: JO’S BIRTHDAY!!! Basketball, then to Mickie D’s, church, then to Jo’s house. Afterwards Jo, GiGi, Deng, Alan, and I went to lil Caesars then headed to Alan’s house. Franny then came to pick me up. I got to Jo’s house and gave her a call telling her, “Jo! You need to come home right now, everybody made a mess in your living room and basically your house is trashed.” Knowing Jo, I knew that she would be stressed and yet worried, oooh pissed! But I had told her not to worry about anything before we even got to lil Caesars, so Jo don’t worry! It’ll be handled, stop and breath that’s all that it takes! When jo got to her house, we (the sophomores and I, the senior) started singing happy birthday to her with a cake, which actually had 17 candles lit. She was surprise, and I’m glad her day changed from stressful to great! Hah…I love you mare!
THURSDAY: I went to check out my senior picture! And I didn’t really like all of it, of course Shaun said, they were all ugly….which is ok! But your such a meanie Shaun! Don’t make fun of my face, “it’s round” is it really that round??? Arhg…don’t give me an answer!! I went to Jo’s house to work on the poster boards for my god daughter, but we unfortunately didn’t finish.
FRIDAY (today): haven’t done anything really! Just slept! I’m supposed to be at ate Regina’s house, but I am just too tired to even move. I’m also supposed to go to ate Jasmine’s house, but like I said, I’m too tired. I’m just gonna go to my aunt’s house later on.
So…I’m gonna do my laundry, then go back to sleep! Ahaha…I’m so lazy! I guess it’s because of it’s a Friday! I deRno wth is wrong with me today. I fell asleep in class again! So I’m gonna sleep right after I do my laundry! Have a great day/night!
